Abstract

Newly published provincial tetradrachms of Caracalla, bearing the image of Mount Gerizim,
the iconic symbol of the mint of Neapolis, struck with hitherto unknown obverse and reverse
dies, allow reattribution of a large group of tetradrachms, previously thought to have been
minted in Byblos, to the mint of Neapolis in Samaria.
