Abstract

There is a great need to strengthen the ties between the Coptic Church and both Ethiopian and Eritrean Churches. It is not only their common faith that binds them together, but also a set of historical and literary relations built throughout ages. After a first stage where Greek language, mostly Alexandrian materials, reached them, in the late Middle Ages Copto-Arabic legacy was massively translated to the Ge'ez language and furthered a real literary and intellectual impact.
