Sixth Report on the Publication and Conservation of the Tomb of Ramesses III in the Valley of the Kings (KV 11)

Abstract

The following article presents the preliminary results of the excavations in rooms I and Jd, research on the sarco- phagus fragments and the Netherworld Texts, and new insights from the reconstruction of the east wall of room I in the frame of The Ramesses III (KV 11) Publication and Conservation Project. Work on-site was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, The Supreme Council of Antiquities, and the local inspectorate at Luxor. The team was led and supervised by Anke Weber and Ahmed Hussein Youssef Mohamed.
